Use the information in the Lab Manual and the Bell Jar demonstration shown to you by your instructor to answer questions in Part A of the Lab Report.
• Use the models in the lab to locate the structures listed in the tables in Part A of the Lab Report.
• Have your instructor verify that you have correctly identified each of these listed structures.
• Take your breath rate by gently placing your hand on your chest and count the number of inhalations or exhalations you take in one minute. You may use a watch or cell phone timer to count the 60 second interval.
• Record your breath rate in the table below.
• Take your breath rate two more times and record in the table below.
• Calculate the average of the breath rates you measured and record the average in the table below.
• For the average, add the three trial values and divide by three.
• Use the models in the lab to locate the structures listed in the tables in Part B of the Lab Report.
• Have your instructor verify that you have correctly identified each of these listed structures.
• Take your pulse at the wrist by using two fingers (not the thumb) and gently pressing them against the thumb-side of the wrist on the palm side.
• Record your pulse in the table below.
• Take your pulse two more times and record in the table below.
• Calculate the average of the heart rates you measured and record the average in the table below.
• For the average, add the three trial values and divide by three.
